The Moon

on a night that felt borrowed from a dream

Under the moonlight I gazed upon her face. Her eyes lit up like a Moon in dark space.

A celestial maiden She appeared to me. Wind blew her hair Like waves of a raging sea.

I stroked her cheeks With a handful of love. Heart pulsed in rhythm To the stars up above.

Our glittering shadows Flickered on the water. Our fingers swiftly Entangled into one another's.

Her lukewarm lips Landed over mine. I wondered if anything Had ever felt so fine.

Silence all around, Yet we talked for long. My eyes asked hers If she'd walk along.

Barefooted, we walked On the wet grassbed. I reminisced the taste Of her lips in my head.

Our souls froze With silence in the air. Her head on my shoulder, I held it with great care.

Everything felt so perfect, As if it was a dream. The moon witnessed something It had never seen.
